Follow these steps to get a license issued with Hazardous Materials Endorsement

- Get fingerprinted
You must get fingerprinted at a TSA Enrollment Center.
- If you have a temporary CLP or CDL, you’ll need to provide additional documents to get your fingerprints.
Visit TSA Required Documents to find out what else you need to bring.
- Be sure you have the TSA HME clearance on your record.
The state cannot issue an HME without this clearance. The TSA HME application is completed with a/an:
- Washington driver license, the TSA will notify us of the results and we will add it to your driving record
- Complete Hazmat training
Register at Central Valley Truck Driving School for either Class A or Class B CDL.
Take the knowledge test online. We will show you where online to take this test. (cost is separate from classroom tuition.)
Hazmat training must be on record before you take the knowledge test. contact us to have it added. Our school will provide any and all information to make sure you meet this requirement.
Complete the schooling for either Class A or Class B
- Take driving test after completing all required class time required by law
- Pay any required test and license fees
- Receive your CDL with HME
- Your license will be set to expire when your HME clearance expires.
- If we have to adjust your current expiration to expire earlier, the state of Washington will not refund the difference.
